As a non-profit striving to provide unparalleled care to patients throughout lower Fairfield County, VNHC needs your help. In 2009, we made over 65,000 visits, providing skilled nursing, therapy, counseling, and nurturing support to more than 2000 patients.
Quality care is expensive, and the cost of salaries, employee benefits, medications and supplies are steadily increasing. Reimbursements by Medicare and private insurances have not kept pace with inflation, and often don’t cover what it costs us to care for patients. VNHC also offers many services to patients which are not reimbursed at all—such as bereavement counseling, pastoral care, volunteer services, and telemonitoring.
